SUMMARY:Grand Lodge Monitor Exams
DESCRIPTION:The Board of Custodians has announced that the annual Monitor examinations and re-certifications will be held on February 2-3\, 2024. Both will take place at the Masonic Heritage Center in Bloomington. The lodge doors will open at 8:30 a.m. on both days; coffee at 8:00. Monitors wishing to take part in the re-examination or those wishing to be re-certified are asked to contact WB Al Golder\, Chairman of the Board of Custodians (algolder@gmail.com). \nAny Master Mason is also invited to be a sideliner during the examination so that he may become familiar with the process of being certified as a Monitor. He must also be familiar with the manual of the rod\, balloting and the examination of visitors; as laid out in the Minnesota Masonic Code\, Section G18.17-G18.20. \nPlease be sure to RSVP if you plan to attend.

The program is a 2-day workshop that will prepare you for your period in the south as well as lay the foundation with the skills and knowledge to lead your Lodge as Senior Warden and eventually Master of the Lodge in subsequent years to follow. \nThe workshop is scheduled to begin midday Friday\, February 10th\, and run through the afternoon of Saturday\, February 11th. The Junior Warden’s position is so critical to the future success of your Lodge that your Grand Lodge felt it would take the full day and a half to cover the critical topics that you will be facing as one of the key leaders in your Lodge. \nPlease save the dates on your calendar. As this is an overnight event\, space is limited to the number of rooms we have reserved at the Park Event Center\, so we encourage you to register as quickly as possible. SUMMARY:Grand Lodge Monitor Exams
DESCRIPTION:The Board of Custodians has announced that the annual Monitor examinations will be held on January 28\, 2022\, and the re-examinations on January 29th. Both will take place at the Masonic Heritage Center in Bloomington. The lodge doors will open at 8:30 a.m. on both days; coffee at 8:00. Monitors wishing to take part in the re-examination or those wishing to be recertified are asked to contact the Grand Lodge office (office@grandlodgemn.org\, 952-948-6700). \nAny Master Mason is also invited to be a sideliner during the examination so that he may become familiar with the process of being certified as a Monitor. The requirements to become a Monitor are quite simple. The Brother need not have served as Master of his Lodge. However\, to be certified for the first time\, he should bring a letter from his Lodge certifying that\, in the Lodge’s opinion\, the Brother is proficient in the work of the degree on which he wishes to be certified. He must also be familiar with the manual of the rod\, balloting and the examination of visitors; as laid out in the Minnesota Masonic Code\, Section G18.17-G18.20. \nPlease be sure to RSVP if you plan to attend.
